The Origin
Chalk Wave was founded in Arco, Italy, born from a desire to align the gear we use with the environments we protect. We recognised that traditional industrial mining was often at odds with the "leave no trace" ethos of the climbing community.
European Refinement
Our magnesium carbonate is sourced directly from seawater within Europe, replacing conventional earth-mining with a circular, mineral-rich process. To ensure the highest levels of purity, our chalk is refined and packaged locally. This allows us to maintain a transparent supply chain that meets the technical demands of the most dedicated climbers.
The Result
We have put our chalk to the test on the limestone of Arco, at the local boulders, and in the gym, refining the formula based on honest feedback from the community. The result is a high-purity product that offers excellent friction - without the environmental impact associated with traditional mining
